Quality Orthopaedic Care

Dr. Morris specializes in Reconstructive/Arthritis Surgery of the Knee and Hip. Dr. Morris also specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder. This includes all aspects of arthroscopic surgery of the knee and an emphasis on rotator cuff and soft tissue disorders of the shoulder.

Among his contributions are the design of implants for total knee and hip replacement. These implants and procedures are important advances as they help to assure the operation is successful in restoring mobility and stability while achieving optimum balance and range of motion. Another area of special expertise is the hip. Here Dr. Morris has contributed innovative ideas such as a hip socket with a special geometry. It is widely used to treat patients with challenging hip problems where there has been a loss of bone.

Dr. Morris proposed and developed with the anesthesia department the current state-of-the-art pain management protocol for total knee and hip patients. This protocol has dramatically improved the comfort level of patients recovering from orthopaedic procedures at the hospital. In recognition for this as well as many other accomplishments, Dr. Morris was awarded The Florida Hospital Excellence Award in 2006, selected from over 2,000 physicians.
